So I’m playing golf a few weeks ago at a nice little course in rural Canada, and I’m actually striking the ball pretty well (I credit the great local Canadian beverages we carted around). I’m hitting decent off the tees, my second shot is (mostly) doing what I want.
But ultimately, I was still struggling to get to the green. Why? Because after a decent drive, and strong second shot, I was struggling to set myself up for a nice putt by attacking the green with a wedge shot. I was feeling so good that day (outside of my wedge game), I was even saving a couple long putts. If I had to take a guess, I’d say my wedge affected about 8 to 10 strokes in my round that day.
So I’ve been bombing around the internet looking for different instructions and I came across this quick 2 minute, 32 second video from PGA Golf Professional Brad Hauer demonstrating on how to be more consistent and hit a better wedge shots from 40 to 60 yards.
Take a peak, let me know what you think. If you have your own tips for practicing, let me know!
Cheers!
